Why Read, Pray, Watch and Decide?
I believe that we are entering into a period when we must make difficult decisions. The world is becoming more and more polarized every day. Just look at Congress. The levels of anxiety, animosity and outright anger seem to be reaching unheard of levels. Gridlock and a lack of consensus are common place.
This tension is not limited to our government. Consider the increasing tensions between: conservatives and liberals, democrats and republicans, religions of the world, atheists and believers, pro-life and pro-choice advocates, environmental and pro-development groups, and groups advocating different positions on marriage and equality. We are increasingly being led to take sides rather than seek compromises.
The earth and nature itself seems to be increasingly under tension as well as we see almost daily climate extremes, increasing earthquake activity, more volcanic eruptions and increasing sunspot activity.
What are we to make of this era that we live in???
I've decided to publish this blog in an effort to help discern some possible answers to this question and to hopefully inspire you along the way with some of my photos. I've lived in Alaska for over 30 years and have a large collection of photos to share. I am a faithful Catholic and so my writings will be influenced by those religious beliefs.
I pray that my words and images might assist you in your journey through this life in ways that we can't imagine at the current moment, and that the seeds I plant might take root in your life.
